ʻŌhiʻa Lehua
The ʻōhiʻa lehua is a sturdy tree whose flowers come in bright and fiery orange, yellow, pink and red. From moʻolelo, the tree and its flowers are associated with Hawaiian fire goddess Pele. It is also a kinolau, or physical manifestation, of several other Hawaiian gods and goddesses including Kū, Hiʻiaka, Kāne, Kapoʻulakīnaʻu as well as Laka, the goddess of hula.
